Stupid Boys

I've decided that guys are just stupid and if they aren't they manage to come up with some pretty stupid things to say. My personal favorite lately is, "your a great/sweet/cool/sexy girl, any guy would be lucky to date you." My problem with that line is that they usually say it as they are telling me why they can't date me. I think that is the new "I need space" or "it's not you it's me." In anycase, it is ridiculous. I find it even more annoying since most of the guys I've dated lately are ones I've met online. These guys are supposedly looking for someone to have a relationship with, but even with all my good points they can't date me. I'd much rather they just said the blunt truth, whatever that is. I can deal with them saying that there is no chemistry, my laugh annoys them, they are still hung up on their ex, or whatever the real reason is. Why do men (and women) feel that it is better to use some silly line to break up with or stop seeing someone than to just tell the truth? How bad would it be if I said to Cute Boy that his constant silliness is just a little annoying? I guess that might be a little harsh, but it is still true. I think I could get away with just saying that I don't think we really mesh well and then if he were to push the issue I'd tell him he's too silly.
